Wood
By Polson Andrews
I can't believe this, if I weren't alone it would be embarrassing. Feels good, I don't really remember it being like this since I was 16. I'd wake up every morning like this, not so much anymore. Must be the vibration. Reminds me of that guy, geez he's a teacher now, working at the golf course, riding out to the greens on the tractor fenders, and pop, there he'd go, didn't care a whit. Vibration.
Maybe once she's back from town, she'd indulge me. As long as she doesn't give me that stupid line about afternoons - Arthur Miller? Maybe it was about Arthur Miller. Honestly, comedian jokes cut a little close to the bone these days. Like Sarah Tate, what's with that short hair? Is there a marriage club where every woman cuts their hair?
Still looks good though. Really good. Really, really, really good. Like, if she walked out from behind that wood pile right now, geez...
You're going out for coffee with Sarah? I don't know, I guess I'll hit the sack a little early tonight. No no, just come in, you won't wake me.
...no, right here...by the wood pile...ahh...
