Soybelman playing soloGEORG CRACKED SETLIST 22.1.2005 @ BULBUL’s „VORSICHT FITZE FATZE“
So Fredl of Bulbul asked me, if I wanted to do the DJ at the seventh day of his week-long "Vorsicht Fitze Fatze" at the Rhiz in Vienna. Of course I said "sure". So I packed my suitcase, took a subway and started playing parts of my record collection from 20:30 to about 4:30. A fun night. Sometimes I like concerts, inspite of all the smoke and my ears still ringing the day after. Bulbul played together with Leonid Soybelmann that evening, who is a great guitarist and knows his stuff perfectly. He will stick spoons and knifes into the strings of his fully electrified acoustic guitar and then produce beautiful sounds. He will rock you on the electric guitar. He will make you cry with an old roma-song while Bulbul strike into a frenzied noise-blast. Together they did an intensive set of songs that built up into great walls of chaotic noise from scratch without ever losing control of what was going on. The place was packed, people danced. Later that night Soybelman even did a seperate set of roma- and jewish songs solo for an impressed and moved audience.
